Allegion to Attend Higher Education Estates Forum

BIRMINGHAM (March 2019) Allegion is a global leader in safety and security, offering innovative security solutions for more than a century. Allegion prides itself on keeping people safe and secure where they live, work and visit, and their pioneering spirit has seen the invention of the ‘panic release bar’ exit device and the first ever electric-controlled lock.

Allegion will be attending the Higher Education Estates forum this year, offering its innovative and dynamic security solutions and specification service. After conducting a recent national survey amongst facility managers in the education sector, Allegion has identified a growing set of issues regarding safety and security in educational buildings. The research found that more than 80 percent of education facility decision makers acknowledge they have issues identifying the correct required products for their building. Furthermore, 33.7 percent of respondents believe their security measures are compromised in some way. As a result, Allegion is continuing its work to improve safety and security knowledge and standards within the education sector.

Trevor Ball, business development manager, will represent Allegion, proposing its innovative, yet practical electronic access control solutions suitable for any size facility including student accommodation doors.

The latest addition to Allegion’s range of security solutions is ISONAS, offering network-based “Pure IP” to door technology. This eliminates the need for cumbersome control panels at every access point, costly, complex wiring and power supplies, and regular maintenance across physical locations.

The CISA Esigno and CISA eGO systems are specified with near-field communication technology making them user-friendly and low maintenance, with access granted for users who have a keycard. Powered by off-the shelf batteries, they don’t require wiring which makes them easy to fit for first time installations and retrofitting.

The Higher Education Estates forum is a great chance for Allegion to support the education sector with their safety and security solutions.
