Designed to provide immediate escape in an emergency Briton 570 Series exit devices not only allow people to quickly leave a building, but also significantly reduce the risk of cross-contamination from contact areas in high footfall environments.

Treated with an antibacterial coating, specifically formulated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and micro-organisms by interrupting cell multiplication, Briton 570 panic exit devices provide an effective defence against the spread of bacterial infections such as E.coli, S.aureus and MRSA.

The new antibacterial treatment offers:

  • Protects against the spread of microorganisms;
  • Inhibits the growth of dangerous bacteria
  • Reduces cross-contamination from contact areas
  • Provides long-lasting, ongoing protection

The treatment has been successfully tested on two of the most common bacterial strains: Escherichia Coli and Staphylococcus (and derivatives). Tests based on Japanese Standard JIS Z 2801-2010, which imposes more stringent parameters than those required by European Standard ISO 22196:2011.
